Description: The International Water Management Institute in East Africa and Nile Basin convened a learning spate irrigation workshop in Adama, Ethiopia, on 30-31 October 2013. The main objective of the learning event was to determine how much knowledge on spate irrigation has been captured already, where the gaps in knowledge remain, and what areas of spate research should be prioritized to meet development goals in Ethiopia and the subregion. This document describes the proceedings of this workshop.
